MyTruckBuddy made me sign up for a Yelp account. They were seriously that awesome.
I moved across town from a shared house into a studio and I couldn’t have done it without them. About a month out, I contacted them and they turned around a reasonable (read: lower than everybody else’s) estimate within a day. When I confirmed, they sent me helpful preparation tips. A few days before my move I contacted them to adjust my timeline a bit and they were more than accommodating.
On the day of, they called me about half an hour before they arrived. David, Mike and Ian were great. Polite, professional, efficient and (duh) strong. (Have you ever seen someone tote a box spring 50 yards? With one hand? Okay, maybe not one hand.) I’m not a great judge of heavy boxes, so I worried that some of my large boxes had too much crap in them. These guys were not at all fazed. I was expecting a team of 2, but 3 guys showed up and the price was no different than estimated. They estimated 1.5 for the move, but ended up needing an extra quarter hour. No big deal, because they provided a helpful price range with their rates and estimate, so I had a good idea of what I’d be spending. Plus, it was a Saturday and they had to drive across town and through throngs of zoo-going tourists, so yeah. They were worth every penny. All of my stuff arrived in my new place in perfect condition, and so did my sanity.
