I couldn’t have been more pleased with My Truck Buddy. I was scheduled to move between two record-breaking snowstorms, and Chris and his team went above and beyond. They don’t charge until they start lifting, and we started around 10:30 in Silver Spring. By 3:00 all of my belongings were in the new apartment in DC before the first snowflake had fallen. Not only did they have to move my things out of the old apartment around huge piles of snow and construction debris (my old building is remodeling the front lobby), I arrived at the new place to find them shoveling a path to the sidewalk. They also shoveled several feet of snow away from the door of another empty unit that we had to use to move a few pieces of large furniture. The box springs for my bed wouldn’t fit up the interior stairs of my apartment, so they also ended up lifting it up onto a balcony and through my roommate’s bedroom. These guys really earn their money (and they charge less than the traditional moving companies)! They also hauled away the desk and t.v. stand that I couldn’t get Salvation Army to pick up because of the snow. They were kind, courteous, and funny. As far as I can tell at this stage of unpacking, nothing has been broken or damaged. Chris apologized several times for how long the move took (longer than his original estimate because of the snow), but I feel like they got things moved as quickly as humanly possible, and with good humor. I highly recommend this company!
