After reading about different movers in DC on Yelp, we settled on My Truck Buddy. There were so many pros about these guys, but I will just list a few:
– On time and constantly in communication via e-mail/phone.
– Fast! We were prepared due to reading their guide and they cleared out our boxes in 20 min (1 bed/1 bath condo) – took a little longer for the furniture, but that is to be expected since we had so much and it was of varying sizes.
– Took enormous care of all of our furniture, wrapping, taping, etc.
– Everything was transported without issue – no breaks, chips, etc.
– Very creative figuring out how to get an oddly sized couch into our new basement through the back door when the in-house entry was not going to work.
– Very polite in making sure everything got to the correct room and was arranged in a manageable manner.
– Price: Very affordable, especially if you do a mid week move and are prepared to let them work fast. Overall, David, Reggie and Maurice made the move painless and quick – moving us from our downtown condo to Arlington in under 5 hours. Would definitely recommend this company if asked!
