DC City Council to Vote on Uber, Lyft Services Today

DC cab services to protest by pissing off potential customers.

From WMAL:

As the DC Council prepares to take a final vote today on letting services like Uber and Lyft operate in the District, cab drivers are ready to stage another traffic-slowing demonstration.

It’s supposed to start around 10:30, when cabbies will circle Freedom Plaza.

The drivers say the app-based services are unfair competition,  because they’re not subject to the same regulations as taxis.
